It seems that they are struggling and just can’t get the consistency from the previous seasons. The quality is there and they have shown that in the last game against the Coyotes as they won with a score of 4-0. This win can have a galvanizing effect on their moral and confidence heading into this game.

On the defensive side of the game, they are placed on the 15th spot so far as they have a conceding average of 3.00 goals per game.
New Jersey Devils Form
The Devils enjoyed a great start of the season. However, that did not the last for long as they have been struggling in the last few weeks. Their form is not good at the moment as they have suffered three defeats in a row. The record so far stands at 6-9 and they are now at the last place in the Metro Division. They will need to improve in this game especially after the defeat in Winnipeg.
On the offensive side of the game, the Devils are placed on the 20th place in the league in scoring, putting up an average of 3.00 goals per game. On the defensive side of the ice, they are placed on the 29th spot in goals allowed, conceding an average of 3.60 goals per game.
The Devils are in a poor form right now and it seems that their early good form is history. They will eventually stabilize their form but I think that this is not the game where that will happen.
On the other side, the Penguins are not playing well this season but their performances in their last game were really good and I think that this game is a good chance for them. They need to win against the Devils and I expect a dominant performance by the Penguins in this game.
