The NHL playoff starts on Wednesday evening as the Minnesota Wild will face the Winnipeg Jets at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba in game one of their best-of-seven postseason series. The Jets have had a better form during the regular part of the season as they won three out of the four games against the Wild.

To confirm the above statement, Winnipeg won their last 9 home games in a row. The Jets go into their 3rd playoff and 2nd since their move to Manitoba. To show the power of this Winnipeg team we just need to pinpoint at the fact that the Jets finished with 114 points, which is the 2nd most in the league. The Jets overall home form is 32-9 and with an average of 3.80 goals per game and have allowed 2.46 goals per game in those games.

At the defensive side of the game, they have been in a solid form this season as they come in ranked 5th in goals allowed, letting in an average of 2.63 goals per game, allowing the opponents to convert on 18.2% of their chances.
The Wild showed some positive signs in their last game of the regular season, but their away form has not been good this season. On the other side, The Jets have been playing a great hockey and they have been beating their opponents on their road to the playoffs. Their great home record will be the crucial element in this game. I firmly believe that The Jets have the qualities to win this game easily.
