The Hurricanes did not have a good start this season. The loss in the first game against the Islanders came to a surprise. However, it showed that it will take some time for the new faces to adapt in this team. On the other side, the Blue Jackets were not dominant in the first game, but they showed character and resilience to get the win against the Red Wings.
