Washington Redskins vs. Minnesota Vikings, NFL Week 8. Sad season for the Redskins with a single victory in almost two months. The team has a good quarterback, but the offense does not work, although the strangest of all is that sometimes the defense plays well. The last defeat was against one of the strongest teams this season. The Vikings hope to win tonight, without defeat at home this season. The record is impeccable in Minnesota and the Vikings hope to keep it that way.
Washington Redskins: Nothing is possible anymore.
The Redskins hardly achieve anything important this season. But the team can win all the remaining games and close the season with decent numbers. The last defeat was at home against San Francisco 49ers 0-9. In that game the 49ers were favorites but for very little. At home the record is 0-3 so far. The only victory for the Redskins was against the Dolphins in Miami 17-16.
On the road the Redskins are scoring an average of 15.7 points per game, 21 rushes with 76 rush yards, 19.3 completed passes with 219 pass yards. The first half is the most effective for the team with 10 points on average. The defense allows up to 24 points, 29.7 rushes with 123.7 rush yards, 26 completed passes with 241.7 pass yards.
Case Keenum has some advantage today. The Vikings were the former team of this quarterback. But the Vikings are playing well, it won’t be easy for Keenum either. This season Keenum has 66.28% with 114 completed passes, 1213 yards, 9 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. 94.5 overall rating so far. On the road in the last two games Keenum’s performance was poor, but against the Dolphins it was at least a victory.
Minnesota Vikings: He doesn’t know anything.
The Vikings have a positive record so far this season. Five wins and only two losses. Three weeks without losing a game. The last three wins were against Giants 28-10, Eagles 38-20, Lions 42-30. At home three games without defeat against Falcons 28-12, Raiders 34-14 and Eagles. Minnesota is second in the NFC North, a division they share with Green Bay Packers 6-1-0.
At home the Vikings are scoring an average of 33.3 points per game, 37 rushes with 168.3 rush yards, 15 completed passes with 198.7 pass yards. The first two quarters are the deadliest of the Vikings playing at home with 22 points on average. The team is allowing up to 15.3 points per game, 19.7 rushes with 89.7 rush yards, 28.7 completed passes with 259.3 pass yards.
Kirk Cousins 69.84% with 132 completed passes, 1711 yards, 13 touchdowns and only three interceptions, 114.3 overall rating. At home the completed passes have been below 22 on average. The last home game against the Eagles was the best game for Cousins in Minnesota. 37 personal rushes for 37 yards and a single touchdown.
