Philadelphia Eagles vs. San Francisco 49ers, National Football Conference. The Eagles are looking for the first win of the season after two weeks without a win. It is a problem that has a solution, but finding that solution in SNF is more complicated. The 49ers are riddled with injuries, but the team aspires to win tonight. Jimmy will not be available, but the team has Mullens.
Philadelphia Eagles: Nothing is easy.
The Eagles have a negative record with two losses and a draw this season. The first week the team lost against Washington 17-27, Rams 19-37 and last week’s tie against the Bengals 23-23. The problem is offensive, apparently Wentz is not having the necessary efficiency to win the games. In addition, there are strong rumors about Wentz’s contract and the loss of an 8 million dollar protection.
This season the team is scoring an average of 19.67 points per game, 26.33 rushes with 117.67 rush yards, 26.33 passes completed and 218.67 pass yards. The team is averaging 4.91 points per quarter. The first half is the best for them with an average of up to 15.33 points. The defense allows up to 29 points and 31 rushes with 106.33 rush yards.
Carson Wentz so far with bad numbers. 79/132 passes completed, 59.58% effectiveness, 737 yards, 3 touchdowns with 6 interceptions. 63.9 overall rating. Wentz in the past three weeks suffered two interceptions per game. Personally, Wentz ran 12 times for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns. The season is still young and Wentz has time to recover.
San Francisco 49ers: Injuries don’t stop us.
The 49ers have two wins and one loss so far. The only loss was against the Cardinals 20-24 in the first week. The last victories were against Giants 31-13 and Jets 36-9. That game against the Jets was a message of how the 49ers play with such a large injured list. After this game, the 49ers play the Dolphins, Rams, Patriots, and Seahawks. But after those last three comes another major challenge against the Packers.
The 49ers average is 29 points per game with 29.67 rushes, 132.67 rush yards, 249 pass yards with 22 passes completed. Up to 7.25 points per quarter, in the first half the team scores 16.67 points. But in the second half the average is slightly low at 12.33. The defense is solid, the team allows only 15.33 points with 26.67 rushes and 116.67 rush yards.
Jimmy Garoppolo will not be available this week. The good news is that Nick Mullens has been doing well while Jimmy recovers. Mullens has 33/47 passes completed, 414 yards, 1 touchdown with an interception, 95.5 rating overall. So far Nick lives up to the 49ers’ expectations.
