New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins, week four starts with two interesting games, this is one of them, the Patriots are looking for a win at home, the team wants to leave the negative record after losing against the Lions in the first victory of Matt Patricia against Bill Belichick . The Dolphins arrive at New England with a positive record, three solid victories, but now they will play against a team with a better offense than previous rivals.
New England Patriots: It’s time to win.
The Patriots started the season well by winning the first game against the Texans 27-20, a relatively easy game for the Patriots offense, but Matt Patricia’s lack of offensive strategy was notable. The negative story started in the second week with a defeat against the historic rivals, the Jaguars 31-20 on the road. Worst of all was losing in the third week against the Lions 10-26, when it was assumed that the Lions in the 0-2 hole was an “easy” team to beat.
Tom Brady has had a good effectiveness, relatively above the average for him with 64% overall so far this season. Against the Texas and the Jaguars, Brady performed well, 67.5% in average passes, 5 touchdowns with a single interception, against the Jaguars he was much more daring with 3 rush for 10 yards, something uncommon in a quarterback like him.
Miami Dolphins: The heat is here.
The Dolphins know that the Patriots are hurt with a 1-2-0 record, and that record can easily get worse, since the team has a losing streak that will probably spread if the offense does not do the job as in the first game of the season at home.
The Dolphins won all the games in the first three weeks, Titans, Jets and Raiders, but they are mediocre teams compared to the Patriots, although in 2017 the Dolphins won 27-20 at home against the Patriots in week 14, after losing 35-17 in week 12 against them that same season on the road.
Ryan Tannehill is better than Tom Brady (for now) in numbers, 73% effective with 687 yards in the season in just 3 weeks. In all three previous games Tannehill has had an ERA over 70% with 7 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions this year. He will be slightly weak due to a shoulder injury.
