Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders, Monday Night Football. After the controversy with Antonio Brown, the Raiders hope to play in peace this season. Jon Gruden is focused on the team having a better season. The expectation is Derek Carr, the fans and everyone expects Carr to play at the same level two years ago. The Broncos are still looking for the road of victories, now with Joe Flacco the hope is much greater than last season.
Oakland Raiders: No more drama.
The Raiders are tired of the whole circus that was generated by Antonio Brown. What Brown did was stupid. All this fight for a helmet. Brown is immature and will surely not succeed with the Patriots. Last season with Gruden in front, the Raiders had a negative record at home with 3-4-0. But the last game in 2018 was a home victory against the Broncos 27-14. It should be noted that at that time Joe Flacco was not with the Broncos.
At home the Raiders are scoring an average of 25.1 points per game, 25.1 rushes with 113.0 rush yards, 26 complete passes with 271.7 rush yards. The second half is the best for the Raiders playing at home with 13.60 points on average. The defense allows up to 30.3 points per game at home.
Derek Carr has had negative numbers in the last two years. 2017 with 6-9-0 and last season with 4-12-0. The best year for Carr was in 2016 with 12-3-0. The team needs Carr to be the player of two years ago. But not all of the blame is on Derek, the WRs and the defenders must also help Darek.
Denver Broncos: With new QB.
The Broncos dream of a better season. The team has a veteran like Joe Flacco, but how can that help the Broncos’ expectations this year. Last season was negative for the Broncos with 6-10-0, third place in the West Division of the AFC. The Broncos have not won a game on the road since December 2 against the Bengals. The last four games of last season were defeats.
On the road the Broncos are scoring an average of 21.6 points per game, 25.8 rushes with 132.6 rush yards, 21.8 complete passes with 206.0 pass yards. The defense allows 26.8 rushes with 115.2 rush yards and up to 22.5 points per game.
Joe Flacco 4-5-0 in his last season with the Baltimore Ravens. The numbers at his farewell were 2465 yards, 12 touchdowns, 61.2%, 232 complete passes. Flacco spent ten years with the Ravens. The best of Flacco with the Ravens was championship in 2012 in the superbowl xlvii.
