Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants, Monday Night Football NFL Week 9. The Giants are looking for a victory to stop the losing streak they have so far with four weeks without winning. It has not been easy for the Giants this season. Not even with a new quarterback things have improved for the Giants. On the other hand, the Cowboys could end a losing streak last week by winning against the Eagles at home.
Dallas Cowboys: Positive in the season.
The Cowboys have positive numbers for now in the season. Four wins and only three losses so far in the season. The last victory was last week against the Philadelphia Eagles 37-10 at home. Before that victory the Cowboys had suffered three consecutive losses against Saints 12-10, Packers 24-34, Jets 22-24. But despite the whole season he had started well for the Cowboys with three straight wins.
On the road the Cowboys are scoring an average of 21 points per game, 29.3 rushes with 129 rush yards, 25.3 completed passes with 247.3 pass yards. In the second half the offensive is averaging 13.4 points. The team is allowing up to 19 points, 21.3 rushes with 73.3 rush yards, 24 completed passes with 227.7 pass yards. The record on the road is negative with 1-2.
Dak Prescott 70.59% with 168 completed passes, 2123 yards, 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, 24 personal rushes for only three touchdowns. The season has been good in numbers for Prescott, but the team’s results are not the best. Against the Jets, in the last game on the road, Prescott had a good performance with 70% for 28 completed with 278 yards, but that was not enough to win.
New York Giants: Hopeless this season.
The Giants played the first two weeks of the season with Eli Manning as starting quarterback, but those games were defeats. After those first two weeks, the Giants used Daniel Jones (rookie) as starting quarterback and that resulted in two victories in week 3 and 4. Everything seemed to improve for the Giants this year, but the team returned to fall into negative numbers and lost four consecutive weeks. 2-6-0 so far in the season.
At home the Giants are scoring an average of 17.2 points, 24.8 rushes with 116 rush yards, 23 completed passes with 192.2 pass yards. The first half is the best for the team with 11.3 points on average. The defense allows up to 21.5 points per game at home, 30.8 rushes with 143.2 rush yards, 17.5 completed passes with 181.2 pass yards.
Daniel Jones as starter for this game. 62.50% with 135 completed passes, 1466 yards, 10 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Jones with the turnovers has been very bad this season. In addition, 21 sacks to lose 158 yards. 23 personal rushes for only 3 touchdowns. 8 fumbles, 5 in the last two games.
