The record of the Black Nights has been a surprise this season, ten victories and only two defeats. The best of the regular season was the winning streak of eight games. That streak included victories against Air Force 17-14 and against Navy 17-10 in the last game of the regular season. The Black Nights offense is scoring an average of 29.7 points per game, the defense allows only 18.1 per game.
Kelvin Hopkins Jr with 53.3% in completed passes, 956 yards, 6 touchdowns and only three interceptions. Hopkins has had a good year as starting QB, but this is the first time in the season he plays against a defense that has been effective at home and on the road.
The Black Knights know that with Clayton Tune the Cougars will be weak, but they still have to face the Houston defense that only allows 34.4 points per game.
