Harvard Crimson vs. Pennsylvania Quakers, Ivy Group tournament opening. One of the champions in the regular conference season starts the tournament for the championship but now of the Ivy Group. The Crimson are number one and champions in the regular season with Yale. The season was relatively easy for Crimson, but now they have to play for the official title. The Quakers did not reach ten wins in the conference, but with almost 20 wins in the regular season makes them one of the best teams for the championship.
Harvard Crimson: We want the title.
The Crimsons closed the regular season with 17 wins and only ten losses, also in the conference with 10-4 sharing record with Yale. 4-2 in the last games of the regular season, strong numbers to close the season in the last days before the championship. The best of the regular season was the winning streak of five games. The last victory in the conference was against Columbia 83-81 with OT, before that game they had lost against Conrell on the road 59-72.
The Crimson are scoring an average of 71.2 points per game, 25.52 FG points, 69.4% free throw shots, 8.68 three pointers, 12.52 assists. The defense allows up to 69.4 points per game, 24.32 FG points, 7.40 three pointers and 12.28 assists.
The ATS record is 13-12-1, just positive. Six losses in the spread starting the season, but 5-2-1 in the last games of the regular season all against conference rivals. The record against the Quakers is 17-10 overall and 16-11-0 in the spread. The last games were two in 2019, two victories for Harvard and point spreads completed +1.0 and -5.0.
Pennsylvania Quakers: We are strong in the regular.
The Quakers did not have the best performance in the conference, the record is not negative but seven wins and seven losses only show the problems they had to win against rivals of the Ivy Group. The record in the regular season is another thing, 19 wins and 11 losses. The objectives in the conference were not achieved, but the team showed a good game in the regular season.
The Quackers are scoring an average of 73.1 points per game, 26.68 FG points, 63.2% free throw shots, 9.25 three pointers, 15.25 assists. The defense is allowing an average of 68.4 points per game, 26.14 FG points, 6.32 three pointers and 10.57 assists.
The ATS record is 16-13-0, in the last three games it was lethal completing two games as favorites against Dartmouth -2.0 and Brown -6.0, plus they won against Yale -1.0 in the spread. 10-2-0 in the first twelve games of the season, but then suffered many losses including in the spread.
