The Red Raiders achieved the impossible, reaching a final for the first time in the history of the team. After that defeat everything changed for the team, they never gave up for the championship. The Cavaliers are also favorites, but they also lost the ACC Championship.
Texas Tech Red Raiders: It’s time to make history.
The Red Raiders are very close to doing something extraordinary. The title does not seem to be very difficult for them after winning against the Wolverines, Gonzaga and Michigan State. The path of the Red Raiders was much heavier than that of the cavaliers. In the final four the victory against the Spartans 61-51 showed how well the offense has played this season. The Red Raiders were number one in the Big 12 during the regular season, but lost the first championship game 74-79 against West Virginia.

Virginia Cavaliers: With great force.
The Cavaliers had three easy first games in the NCAA Tournament. The first three were against Gardner-Webb 71-56, Oklahoma 63-51 and Oregon 53-49. In the last two games the offensive hard work to win against Purdue 80-75 OT and Auburn 63-62 for the pass to the final.
