Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks, Game 5 Eastern Conference Semifinals. The golden opportunity for Miami is today. The team is one victory away from eliminating the big favorite from the conference. The next round is the conference finals, but the Bucks are unlikely to get there. For now, Miami Heat is highly favorite to win today.
Miami Heat: Ready for the next round.
The Heat have only one victory pending to close this series. The last game was a loss by just three points 118-115. For now, the Heat have a 3-1 advantage against the Bucks. The Bucks are unlikely to come out of that hole. But we already saw what the Nuggets did against the Jazz in the first round. Miami Heat has experienced players and several of them know how to play in the playoffs.
The team is scoring 113.3 points per game in the playoffs. 37.6 FG points, 14.5 three pointers, 81% free throw shots, 24.9 assists, 8.3 steals, 8.9 offensive rebounds and 13.9 turnovers. The defense remains a top four in the postseason allowing just 104.9 points per game. 37.8 FG points and 11.6 three pointers.
Adebayo was the best player in Game 4 with 26 points for the Miami Heat. Robinson scored 20, Butler 17 and Crowder 18. From the bench the other players contributed 17 points. In the fourth game the Heat barely won the first quarter and lost the other three. The defensive game has been key for the Bucks, but in the last game the efficiency was not high.
Milwaukee Bucks: Win or Die.
The Bucks know they can’t lose today. It was tough losing three straight games, but it seems the team already knows how to play the Miami Heat. But a single win and by just three points still leaves a lot of doubt about the Bucks. Offensive play isn’t bad, but if the team doesn’t know how to stop the Heat, then hopes will be low today.
Up to 113 points per game in the playoffs. A similar average to the Miami Heat but not with the same defensive efficiency. The Bucks are scoring 40.9 FG points, 72.4% free throw shots, 9.0 offensive rebounds, 24.8 assists, 7.2 steals, 13.8 three pointers. The defense allows up to 110.7 points per game, 37.4 FG points, 15.4 three pointers and 7.2 steals.
Middleton scored 36 points in the fourth game. Antetokounmpo was close to twenty with 19 points, 1 three pointer and 2-4 free throw shots. From the bench the Bucks scored 32 points to win the game. Antetokounmpo leads the Bucks in the postseason with 26.7 points per game, but this round he is not playing well. For now Middleton is doing the heavy work.
