Denver Nuggets vs. Utah Jazz, Game 4 Western Conference. The Nuggets took a hard beating in the last two games against the Jazz. Something serious is happening with the Nuggets who have not been able to play well in this first round since the first game. The outlook is unclear, but the favorite now is the Utah Jazz. Things could be worse tonight for the Nuggets if they lose Game 4.
Denver Nuggets: We are still alive.
The Nuggets are having serious trouble getting up to speed against the Utah Jazz. The last two games were tough losses to give up the 1-2 lead. The last game was two days ago, the team lost 87-124. No Nuggets player could score more than 15 points, the Jazz’s defensive work was precise from the first quarter.
In the only victory of the round the Nuggets managed to score 135 points, and so far they are averaging 109 points in the playoffs in three games. The defense is a mess, so far they are allowing 124.33 in the playoffs. Other than that, the Nuggets averaged 11.16 three pointers and 77.8% free throw shots.
In the second game Nikola Jokic was the most outstanding with 15 points, 33% three pointers and 46.2% FG points. From the bench the team scored 37 points, but the starters had a very weak game. Jamal Murray could barely score 12 points, when in the regular season he scores as much as 18.5 per game.
Utah Jazz: We want more advantage.
The Jazz want another win to sink the Nuggets further. During the regular season the team was the sixth best in the conference at 44-28 and thus were underdogs in the playoffs. But things are totally different. In the last two games the team scored 124 points to win. They are averaging much more than in the regular season.
The team is scoring an average of 124.33 points per game. In the second game against the Nuggets, the team was superior in field goal points by 61.9% against 44.3%. Another important fact is that the Utah Jazz has players who are playing much better in the playoffs than in the regular season.
Donovan Mitchell is a playoff scoring machine with 35.7 points on average so far. Mike Conley is another important player during this round of the playoffs. He is averaging 27 points per game, 87.5% three pointers and 69.2% FG points. Third on the list is Rudy Gobert with 72% FG points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
