The NBA is back in action today as the San Antonio Spurs will clash with the Atlanta Hawks.
The Spurs are heading into this game after a defeat in the game against a Lakers with a score of 103-96.
And on the other side, the Hawks ended on the losing side in the game against the Heat with a score of 106-97.
San Antonio Spurs Form
The Spurs were in a good form before the game on Sunday. However, the Lakers were the better team and the Spurs defeated with a score of 103-96. They played well but it was not good enough to be better than the reinforced Lakers team.
Dejounte Murray finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds while Rudy Gay added 16 points and 10 boards off the bench. Now, San Antonio will need to bounce back in this game against the Hawks.
On the offensive side of the game, the Spurs score an average of 109 points per game which is the 11th record in the league in scoring.
On the defensive side of the game, San Antonio is conceding an average of 105.4 points per game which is enough for the 15th spot in scoring defence.
Atlanta Hawks Form
The Hawks suffered an unlucky defeat in the game against the Heat. They played well but that was not enough for a win in this game. Nevertheless, it is important to understand that they were playing without Young in this game. Cam Reddish got the start at point guard in place of Young, but struggled for the most part, finishing with nine points and four assists on 2-for-11 shooting. But on a positive side, Jabari Parker came on and led the team with 23 points in the defeat.
On the offensive side of the game, the Hawks scored 113.3 points per game. And that is enough for the 12th spot in the league in scoring. Also, they have 46.1 rebounds combined with 25.8 assists per night.
On the defensive side of the game, they were the 30th team in scoring defence with 119 points allowed per night.
The Spurs were playing well before the Lakers game. And also they tried their best against the Los Angeles team. But San Antonio is a good team and there is more to come from them.
On the other side, the Hawks are not playing that great and they are without Young for this game.
Take the Spurs to get back to winning ways.
