The NBA is back in action today as the Milwaukee Bucks will clash with their main rivals, the Toronto Raptors at the Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto, Ontario.
The Bucks are heading into this game after a 137-134 overtime win in the game against the Wizards. And on the other side, Toronto won against Indiana 127-81 at home Sunday evening in their last contest.
Milwaukee Bucks Form
The Bucks are one of the best teams in the NBA this season. And now the Bucks have three wins in a row after the All-Star break. As for the postseason, the Bucks have clinched a playoff spot and that’s the earliest a team has locked down a postseason spot in the last 15 years. Additionally, the team has a 15.5-game lead over Indiana in the Central Division. Also, in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, the team has 6.5 games ahead of the Raptors for the top spot.
On the offensive side of the game, the Bucks score an average of 119.7 and that is the best scoring record in the league. Milwaukee has the best record on 51.9 boards per contest combined with the 5th record of 26.2 assists per game. Also, on the defensive side of the game, they are 6th with 107.3 points conceded per night.
Toronto Raptors Form
The Raptors are on a great run this season. Moreover, they have now won 17 of their last 18 games. Additionally, they recorded their biggest margin of victory of the year by trouncing Indiana at home. Therefore, the Raptors now have a 2.5-game lead over Boston in the Atlantic Division. As for the Eastern Conference playoff picture, the team was second in the standings, 6.5 games behind the Bucks for the top spot.
On the offensive side of the game, the Raptors score an average of 113.3 and that is the 10th scoring record in the league. Toronto has the 13th record on 45.5 boards per contest combined with the 9th record of 27.7 assists per game. Also, on the defensive side of the game, they are 2nd with 106.1 points conceded per night.
Prediction
Both teams are top class and are favourites for the championship this season.
The Raptors will be without Powell and Gasol at this stage but there is a ton of depth in their rotation. However, Antetokounmpo is in top form and that will be a challenge for the Raptors. Therefore, I will go with the Bucks to win this one a tight contest.
