This season has been a complete failure for the Marlins. In the first 20 games of the season, the Marlins won only five games. That was the warning sign that this season was going to be bad for the Marlins.
Every month they were negative for the Marlins this season. June 13-14 was the most decent month the team had this season. In September everything has been negative with 6-14 overall. Before this series against the Mets, the team lost to Nationals, Arizona and Giants. The Marlins have not won a series on the road since September 5 against the Pirates.
