Arsenal Form
After the departure of Arsene Wenger, a new era has started at the Emirates Stadium. However, his successor Unai Emery did not have a good start as they lost the first two games of the season. However, it seems that they have turned the tide as they have 4 straight wins in all competitions. In their last Premier League game, they were able to beat Newcastle away as Xhaka scored from a free kick. Mesut Ozil doubled the lead as the Gooners won the game with a score of 2-1. It seems that the North London team is in a good form as they demolished the Ukranian side Vorskla with a score of 4-2. All three summer signings (Lichtsteiner, Torreira and Bernd Leno) started this game for the very first time together.
On the offensive side of the game, the Gooners have been solid as they have scored 6 goals in their last two games. In the defence department, they allowed 3 goals in their last two games between Petr Cech and Bernd Leno.
Everton Form
The Liverpool based team did not have a good start of the season as they have won only once in the league this season. However, they were undefeated until their last game against West Ham United. It seems that the new manager will have a tough time to get this team going as they have recruited some relatively unknown names in the summer. Turkish striker Cenk Tosun still has not scored this season, although he already has two assists under his belt.
On the positive side, their new left-back Lucas Digne has been playing very well. The French defender has created four scoring chances combined with five tackles and three key interceptions.
On the offensive side of the game, the Toffees have scored 4 goals in the last 4 games. In the defence area, they allowed 6 goals in their last 3 games.
Arsenal has been strong at the Emirates and their home record against Everton is pretty solid. They have won the last 24 home games against Everton at their home ground and they are the favourites in this one as well. On the other side, Everton is struggling lately and their defence has been exposed in recent games. I expect a solid Arsenal win in this game. Go for the Gooners in this one.
