Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs, AFC Conference Championship. The Bills visit Arrowhead looking for a difficult goal in the home of the defending champions. It’s not easy for the Bills, but the team has proven capable of winning against the best teams of the season. The Chiefs have a little problem at home. Mahomes is recovered but it is not clear if he will be 100% for this game against the Bills.
Buffalo Bills: Good season.
The Bills had a pretty good regular season compared to the last 10 years. The path was clear most of the season with the “absence” of the Patriots. But the Dolphins pushed for most of the season. The team is not a favorite today, but they are hardly underdogs with +3.0 in the spread. In the divisional round the team was also underdog but they did an incredible defensive job.
On the road the team is scoring an average of 30.63 points per game, 24.50 rushes with 107.63 rush yards, 28.75 passes completed and 327.25 pass yards. In the first half the offense tends to score 16 points on average. The defense allows up to 23.38 points per game, 26.13 rushes and 126.38 rush yards. That is the weak point of the team on the road, too many rushing yards against the rivals.
Josh Allen has good numbers this season with 396/572 passes completed, 69.23% efficiency, 4544 yards, 37 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions, 107.2 overall rating. 102 person rushes for 421 yards and 8 touchdowns. Allen has received the necessary protection this season, just 26 sacks for 159 yards. Stefon Diggs has probable status tonight, Diggs is one of the Bills’ deadliest offensive tools this season.
Kansas City Chiefs: Today we won at home.
The Chiefs have everything going for them at home this season. Only two losses at home during the season. One against the Raiders and one against the Chargers in the seventeenth week. Home games were relatively easy for the Chiefs. Perhaps the most difficult for the Chiefs was the game against the Browns 22-17. In the last game against the Bills, last year at Buffalo, the Chiefs won 26-17.
At home the Chiefs are scoring an average of 26.89 points per game, 21.67 rushes and 93.89 rush yards, 25.44 passes completed and 300.11 pass yards. The little offensive attack of the team at home is noticeable due to the ease of the rivals at home. The defense allows up to 21.67 points per game, 28.22 rushes and 128.89 rush yards. Travis Kelce is the player most used by the offense to attack with 105 recpetions and 11 touchdowns.
Patrick Mahomes is now recovered from a finger injury and a concussion. So far Mahomes has passed all concussion protocols. Mahomes has champion numbers this season. 390/588 passes completed, 66.33% efficiency, 4740 yards, 38 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, 108.2 overall rating. Few personal rushes this season, just 62 rushes for 308 yards and 2 touchdowns.
