Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles, Thursday Night Football, week 4. Third home game for the Packers, so far the team has no losses this season. The first week was key to demonstrate the physical form of Aaron Rodgers and the offensive against a powerful defense like the Bears. The Eagles barely have a victory this season, the last two weeks were bad with consecutive losses.
Green Bay Packers: Unbeaten in the season.
The Packers have no losses in three weeks of the season. The first victory was key against the Chicago Bears 10-3. In that game the favorites were the Bears for playing at home and being primetime. But Trubisky can’t stand the pressure of playing against a big man like Rodgers. The last two weeks the games were at home against Vikings 21-16 and Broncos 27-16.
This season the Packers are scoring an average of 19.3 points per game, 26 rushes per game with 89.30 rush yards, 19 completed passes with 197.3 pass yards. In the first half the Packers are averaging 15 points. The defense is allowing only 11 points per game. The record against the Eagles is 9-11-0 overall since 1990.
Aaron Rodgers in three games so far has 61.29% with 57 completed passes. 647 yards, 4 touchdowns and zero interceptions. The best rating for Rodgers was against the Vikings with 101.2. The defense has allowed seven sacks for 55 lost yards.
Philadelphia Eagles: Looking for a victory.
The Eagles have a negative record in just three weeks. But the season had started well with a home victory against the Redskins in the first week 32-27. The other two weeks were defeats. The second week against the Falcons in Atlanta 20-24, and last week against the Lions 24-27. The offense has played well averaging 210+ pass yards per game, but the defense allows 300+ pass yards per game.
The team is scoring an average of 25.3 points per game, 27.3 rushes with 99.7 rush yards, 25 completed passes with 265.3 pass yards. The Eagles are more effective in the second half with 17 points on average. The defense is allowing up to 26 points, 19.3 rushes with 57 rush yards, and 293.7 pass yards.
Carson Wentz only 803 yards this season. 61.02% with 72 completed passes so far, 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. At home without interceptions. The defense has been dismal allowing seven sacks. Wentz in his good physical condition ran for a touchdown against the Falcons. So far the only game with 100+ in rating was in the first week.
