New England Patriots vs. Washington Redskins, NFL Week 5. The Redskins look for the first win of the season after four weeks losing all games. The home team has never been close to winning any games. Last week the Redskins were humiliated by the Giants. On the other hand, the Patriots won last week on the road, this will be the last game on the road before returning home.
New England Patriots: Another victory to be better.
The Patriots are 4-0-0 so far this season. Last week the team won against the Bills 16-10 on the road. Only two games on the road in four weeks. This is the third game and then the team returns home. In all the games on the road the Patriots were favorites. The defense is doing an impeccable job, and the offensive has won the games accurately for the first four weeks.
This season the Patriots are scoring 30.5 points per game, 28.5 rushes with 91.8 rush yards, 23.2 completed passes with 271.0 pass yards. In the first half the offense is more effective with 16.5 points on average. The defense allows only 6.8 points per game, 17.5 rushes with 61.2 rush yards, 19.8 completed passes with 181.8 pass yards.
Tom Brady 62.07% with 90 completed passes, 1061 yards, 7 touchdowns and only one interception. Brady’s first interception was last week against the Bills. Brady’s performance in the last game was poor with 45.9 rating. The Patriots won the last game against the Redskins in 2015 at home 27-10.
Washington Redskins: Another defeat announced.
The Redskins know that winning against defending champions is somewhat unlikely. But the Patriots have weak points. Keenum already knows what it is to win against the Patriots, but it is not easy to play against an offense as perfect as that of New England. Last week the team lost in New York against the Giants 24-3. The two losses at home were against Cowboys 21-31 and Bears 15-31. This is the third home game so far.
The team is averaging 16.5 points per game, 17 rushes with 49.8 rush yards, 25.2 completed passes, 246.5 pass yards. The defense allows up to 29.5 points per game, 31.5 rushes with 147.5 rush yards, 25.5 completed passes with 251.8 pass yards. The defense allowed 62 points in the last two home games.
Case Keenum is a good quarterback but without offensive support. 68.15% with 92 completed passes, 970 yards, 7 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Seven sacks with 70 yards lost. Most interceptions were at home against the Bears. 93.8 rating
