Detroit Pistons at Portland Trail Blazers, third interesting game for Saturday night, the odds are in favor of the home team, a good record, solid defense and a luxury attack strategy. Portland can have a new winning streak record tonight.
The unbeatable streak record (-8.5)
The boys from Portland have been demonstrating an incredible performance, for example Damian Lillard has an average of 30.5 points in the last 10 games, it is amazing the amount of games that they have been winning. Currently the winning streak of the team is located at 11 games without losing, the team won against teams like: Warriors x2, Jazz, Thunder, Heat and the last game against Cavaliers, and that’s just to name the most important of the list.
The winning streak would have been bigger, but they lost to the Utah Jazz 100-81 and then restarted the streak with the Warriors, took revenge on Utah and beat the Warriors all over again in less than 10 games.
In the latter, the Portland Trail Blazers had never been seen playing so well, an average of 107.1 points at home, plus 81.4% free throws, 45.14 rebounds, 11.31 3 pointers per game. At home they have won 24 games and have only lost 11 for a 64% win at home. The winning streak of the team is composed more than anything by wins at home, of the 11 games of the winning streak, 8 games were won at home. The real domain has been at home.
The most curious thing about the Portland Trail Blazers is that they have also covered the last 11 spreads, the average line is over -5.5 and only one line was +6 in the last game against the Warriors 125-108. The third place in the western conference seems to be a comfortable place for the team, they are in a good place in the race for the playoffs.
Detroit cannot win on the road (+8.5)
Blake Griffin has not worked well for the Pistons; apparently Blake has not adapted to the team and he is not scoring enough points. Blake is scoring only 47% of field goal, while with the Clippers he was above 50%. The other problem for the Pistons is the lack of Reggie Jackson, he is still injured, and the aspirations to reach the playoffs this season seem like not going to happen.
On the road the pistons have a poor performance, to the point that they have only won 9 games out of 33 this season away from home. The average point on the road is 100.3 per game, 43.8% field goal, 74.3% first throw and 36% 3pointers. The defense of the Pistons allows too many points on the road, up to 110 points per game.
The pity of the Detroit Pistons is that they arrive in Portland with a losing streak of 11 games, it is an irony, while the other team has 11 wins, and the Pistons will probably award another victory to that streak for the Trail Blazers.
Trends: Pistons ATS 15-17-1, the spread has been covered in a single game of the last 11.
Prediction: Portland Trail Blazers
